FOUNDATIONS OF ENSEMBLE

*Later in the Spring, we'll announce the Fall Production and begin workshopping the material. There will be Acting and Directing opportunities. If you want to be involved in the Fall Production in any way, it will be necessary for you to get involved in the weekly workshops by the beginning of June.
April 22nd 10AM-12PM Composition
Founder Ryan Hartley and Associate Artist Molly Brennan will lead us through the creation of stage compositions: short scenes using our bodies, everyday objects, and bits of texts. Knowledge of Stage Technique and Viewpoints will be helpful to this process.
May 4th 6:30PM-9:30PM Script Analysis
Founder Ryan Hartley will take us through his process of breaking down a script for rehearsal and performance. Then building upon our work with Voice & Speech and the Viewpoints, we'll engage physically with the language of a dramatic text
May 28th 7PM-10PM Commedia
Department of Fools will return to lead us in the historic art of Commedia. You won't want to miss the deep creative workout that Commedia provides.
April 15th 10AM-12PM Stage Technique & World Building
Founder, Ryan Hartley, will guide us on an exploration of the fundamental technique an actor must bring to a collaborative rehearsal, in conversation with a scene from Gogol's The Government Inspector.
May 1st 6:30PM-9:30PM Voice and Speech
Guest Artist Jeff Morrison will return to work with us on vocal production and how it relates to authentic performance of dramatic text.
May 18th 6:30PM-9:30PM Viewpoints and Composition
Founder Ryan Hartley and Associate Artist Molly Brennan will continue to build upon our work with the Viewpoints and Composition practices, using games and creative prompts. Our imaginations will take center stage.
