Department of Fools will lead us in mask work and theater games inspired by the street theater of the Renaissance era. Commedia connects us to the FUN in making theater, with social satire that is just as relevant today as it was centuries ago.

Composition for the stage is the practice of selecting and arranging theatrical elements (time, space, text, etc.) into a cohesive work of art. Inspired by the Viewpoints and other devising tools, we'll generate, define, and develop our theater vocabulary. The ensemble will, by the third workshop, create short, specific pieces using this vocabulary.
