A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER

It's been a dream of mine to found an acting company ever since I was a teenager. I've evolved quite a bit since then, as a person and as an artist, but I never gave up that dream, which I now understand is integral to my hyperfocus on the theatrical creative process. 

New Cosmopolitan Ensemble has been actively in the works since 2019, when I set out to make good on my dream. Almost five years later, once I'd moved to New York, I started bringing actors together from a variety of training backgrounds and levels of experience.

It was always part of the vision that we would train together perpetually, following the example of many legendary ensembles before us. Our group training is meant to inspire and feed into the projects we take on, in every way.

It's never been my intent to institutionalize the ensemble, but rather to continually re-negotiate an agreement to collaborate as individual artists, for as long as the collaboration brings fulfillment.
